The education sector has a vital role in raising public
awareness to the importance of valuing where we live and more
importantly how we live; why we don't drop litter, why we care
about where we live.
To offer as much support to schools as possible Love Where You
Live has developed a special series of educational
resources in conjunction with Eco-Schools.
Aimed at teachers with children and young people aged 5-16, our
Love Where You Live Educational Resources, include a
range of free lesson ideas, assembly ideas, and challenges that
link with the national curriculum and Eco-Schools Awards in
creative ways.

involved in our Schools programme
Start using our free
resources and sign up your school to our Love Where You Live
campaign. By signing up to the principles to improve school
areas and local communities and by making a pledge you will be able
to develop projects that fit with the Eco-Schools Awards and the
curriculum. As a Love Where You Live school you can download the
logo to use on your school website or letterhead.
Your pledge:
Your pledge does not need to be complicated. It could be to use
some of our lesson ideas or to develop your own and organise a tidy
up of a litter-strewn area, clean up graffiti or plant new trees to
brighten a neglected patch of ground, the benefits for both school
and the local community can be huge.
Events like Big Tidy Ups are fun and a
great way of bringing families and communities together.
If you're interested in adopting the Love Where You Live ethos
