These Bins were made for talking...and that's just what they will do!
To inject some fun into bins and the nation's behaviour around littering, Love Where You Live is pleased to bring Talking Bins to London and Liverpool.
The project kicks off from 13 October for two months, with 25 London bins coming to live in Westminster. Find out where the bins are.
London also has "loop the litter" bins coming its way, you can slum-dunk your way to a cleaner city, 10 points for your own rubbish, 20 for someone else's!
An additional two talking bins will be visiting iconic locations in Liverpool too.
Who's in the Bin?
We have a whole host of celebrities who have supported the project from Amanda Holden, to the voice of the X Factor Peter Dickson. Their voices will be joined by some fun sound effects like a round of applause, the Hallelujah Chorus and even burping bins.

Why Talking Bins?
At Love Where You Live we believe in the power of fun as a force for good. As well as keeping where we love clean and tidy, we want to surprise and delight people. These bins offer a light-hearted way of encouraging people to do the right thing and put their rubbish in a bin.
How?
Although the talking bins look just like any other bin, they are fitted with clever motion sensor technology. When litter is dropped in the bin, solar panels power the bin's speaker to produce pre-recorded sounds. Cool huh!
Talking Bins are part of the Love Where You Live campaign, which brings together individuals, communities and business to work towards making the places we live, work and play cleaner and greener. Find out more about Love Where You Live.
