Recognising that litter is continuing problem affecting our streets and public places, Defra (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) organised a litter convention with the aim of engaging key private, public and voluntary sector organisations to share ideas and develop a common anti-litter message.

Throughout the development of Love Where You Live, Defra have continued to work closely with Keep Britain Tidy and the wider Litter Challenge Group, to support the campaign.
